Are You Being Represented by Boring Business Cards?

Are you being represented by the boring business cards? Business cards, each company has, but how important are they? The average business owner believes that his business card to be simply a way of reminding people to their contact information. Taking a look at most of the cards is shown that there are boring, and uncreative attempt to convey basic facts only. There is nothing unique or special about them, nothing that will catch someone? S eye. During my tenure in the marketing department in designing a printing company and the name of flavor design and printing ink studies, I discovered that having a single business card is invaluable. Often, after a business card designed by our design department, a client we call one or two months later tell us that their business had nearly doubled since it began delivering its new business cards only . He also had several customers tell us they had decided to hire us just because of how impressed by our own company? S unique business cards were. What most business owners do not realize that it is a business card may be the only time a customer has an opportunity to judge the quality of their business. If a potential customer receives a business card that is generic and boring, which instantly reduces your subconscious view of that company. However, the opposite is also true, if that person is given a unique and eye-catching business card, the card to add value in the minds of consumers. In today? S world, image is everything. A small-business person can appear to be a multimillion-dollar Fortune 500 company. Again, the opposite is also true, unfortunately. Most employers understand this concept when it comes to big things like Web pages, ads, etc., but most ignore the value of having a single business card to leave with potential customers. The need for an impressive business card is multiplied exponentially when a company is trying to market in an extremely competitive genre, as consumers are constantly bombarded by advertising the same in all companies seem to offer the same product or service. What you apart? When potential customers you compare to its competitors, which would encourage them to choose you? If your card is not to them, may decide to use another company instead of yours, and if you work in a reference market-driven, you can understand the potential of each client with what friends and family to your business . Can you afford not to have a unique business card designed? For examples of eye-catching business cards designed to taste of the Studies of ink, take a look at the examples below:

Graphic Design Best Kept Secrets

The success of any effort is often dependent on certain practices. The same case applies also to graphic design. The use of best practices in this field can yield better results. However, this is too broad because it embraces a wide range of topics. To be more specific, graphic design is reflected here regarding development of websites. Graphic design and web design are often discussed interchangeably, since they are highly correlated. Both insist on the visible face of a page including the design and typography. Website design is more specific because it deals exclusively with images that are used in electronic media content published in several websites. Graphic design on the other hand is not limited to projects for the Internet. Over the mixture of colors and typefaces on a page visually pleasing, the design is of paramount importance in graphic design. It's better to note that the provision of text and visuals is not done at random as their placement in a particular order will create a better impact on the viewer. To visualize this, consider a site over a period of three lay column. The body or main content is located in the middle of this area is where site visitors train their eyes to see first. Those who require less attention are relegated to the side bars. The left sidebar content should include constant and logos. The right side is usually serves as the place to click content leading to another Web page. The logic behind this is because most users are right-handed and is easier to point and click on banners or links located in the same side.Aside design, graphic design another best kept secret lies in the constant flow of creative juices of graphic designers. Constant creating artistic designs for clients takes its toll on them, hence, experiencing designer? S block. When wracking the brain can no longer squeeze even an ounce of creativity, it is best to take a break and get inspiration elsewhere. A simple change of scenery or a breath of fresh air can do the trick. Taking a nap at work can also be beneficial as a quick rest may bring back this sudden burst of inspiration. Embarking on graphic design is not an easy task. Better quality can be achieved only known the rules and how to break creative.

How I Advertised My Company

Since I? M back to the wedding photography business, he needed to turn some people to help with my advertising. I have no idea how to do any web design and I do not have time to read books on how to design my website. If I could design my website, will take years before I could come up with a design that looks professional.I can? t afford to pay someone thousands of dollars in a custom built website yet, so it decided to use a template-based Web Biz called Photo. You can choose from a selection of templates and just change your own by adding pictures and text to their designed templates. Templates are very basic and giving something of a professional look to the Web. However, it lacks originality. It's very basic, that even the logo does not fit really well. I got the logo Logo Bang however I can not? t done so that the logo appears that implies that there naturally. They gave me a great logo design, but the appearance on the web can be improved. As with the tables on his hard to make something look really professional. I was thinking of getting a personalized Web site from the same guys but I Logo Bang? T afford it now. Paid advertising is another head ache.I? M slowly learning and I think most of my advertising will come from word of mouth. I just need to get a few weddings under my belt to develop my style and building a customer base to start the development of that word of mouth.

Design Your Site for Traffic

Web traffic is an essential part of their business on the Internet and it is imperative that the design is to offer the greatest possible amount of traffic. The design of your site for traffic includes offering good content, easy navigation and a logical flow. Both high-level and good design need to work together. How can we pull all this together? Let? S have a look. -- A word on design of a huge mistake I see many website owners make is to fall into place doing cute. They love the little animations, buttons and dramatic history. What we fail to consider is that these things are worthless if not? T provide good content, easy navigation and a logical flow. First Don? T try to be everything to everyone. Design your site around a theme, preferably a niche item. Don? T confuse their readers with links across the page. Designing a logical flow. The lead its readers to where you would like to go to them. Leave plenty of blank space and keep your pages organized. Clearly state at the top of your pages what they are and what you want your readers to do. Secondly, don? T recommend popups. I think that most Internet users find annoying. The demand for pop-up blockers is a good indication that viewers don? T want to see. Thirdly, offer good content. Provide information on its website that will help viewers solve a problem. Offer information that could not obtain elsewhere. Write comments regarding their products. Writing newsletters and articles and most importantly offer something of value for free. Increasing Sales With Strategic Menu Design

You have an average of two minutes to make the sale, so the design and strategy subliminal suggestions play a key role in developing a profitable menu. This article is aimed at restaurateurs that either hire a design firm or those who want to develop them at home. The? Tips Marketing? section will be particularly useful to criticize the existing menus and considering a redesign. Design professional procurement of a new design of the menu will increase annual sales an average of 6% and as high as 10%, so the design of payment should be considered an investment rather than a cost. Companies are designing a time-based service industries that offer three things: service, quality and price. However, the customer can choose only two. For example, if the quality and price are your criteria for the top level of service is reduced to concentrate on the creative quality of the project to maintain the cost. Those who understand the value of professional design service and quality typically elected. When the search for creative services has two options; independent designers and several design firms person. Both have their advantages and disadvantages. I cover this in detail in an article titled, How to Choose a graphic design firm?. The heart of any successful design is the designer himself. With a little effort and the following tips that you can find the right fit. In short, you should interview at least three messages. Look at their portfolio of talent and we ask them to explain the solutions we have developed for other clients. Secondly, ask them for their hourly rate and a detailed proposal. The latter should cover topics such as the current situation, the project objectives, competition, audience profile, creative strategy, process, calendar, schedule and billing. Lastly, ask yourself if you would like to work with this person. Chemistry, professionalism and good personal skills play a part in the creative process. In short, they must understand that you, your business goals, and have the talent to do so. Lastly, do not discount designers and design firms that have not developed a menu in the past. An experienced research company and industry specific design features menu to develop a creative solution. They may even be willing to discount his proposed payment to have a menu in your wallet, because it may lead to future missions elsewhere in order to use it in negotiating the fee. The development of a strategy Menu There are a number of issues to consider in creating a profitable menu, but the main objective is to increase sales of its most profitable items. Secondly, should reflect the personality of the restaurant, taking into account the interior design, such as color, materials, textures and generals? Feeling? the establishment. Two examples of this are clients of mine; protagonist of a Tex Mex restaurant chain and the other a service company catering gourmet. The Tex Mex restaurant is a growing company with 13 locations throughout the south. The exterior and interior design is unique to each place, although they all fall within a? Collage style? in the use of colors, materials and decorative items. The owners wanted to communicate the same effect to its menu, along with the feeling of Mexican cinema posters of the 50? S and 60? S. As a rule, no more than three fonts to be used in a menu, but using a different one for each section is appropriate in this case. My other client is a service catering to high-end business objectives and social events. Since going to their clients what is necessary to convey a sense of elegance and fine restaurants across their menus. This was achieved for service companies catering gourmet using images tasteful, a rich palette of colors, fonts and classic. Menu Suggestions The following are standard guidelines for developing a menu, or his current criticism to see how the measures. If you are experiencing stagnation or decline in sales, it may be worth considering a redesign. Theme? Select colors, materials, paper textures, icons, fonts and reflect the interior / exterior and personality of the restaurant. Color? Depending on your budget and frequency of updates menu, use full color of the menus of luxury that only change once or twice a year. One, two or three colors are appropriate for most local restaurants and the menu includes can reduce printing costs by using a standard grade of paper. Menu shells can also be printed and execution of a laser printer to further reduce costs. Typefaces? In general, use a maximum of three typefaces, one for the title of the section, one for the body text and another to highlight the benefits of high or specialties. It also will take into account the lighting and the average age of its users. Do not go lower than 11pt type of menu items and pay attention to the contrast between the font and paper. Layout? Customers tend to go to the upper right half of the first right panel in a period of two panel menus (like opening a book), so that his place higher profit items in this area. People tend to scan this type of menu in a step backwards? Z? pattern. Use the weight of a bolder typeface, background colors or shades to highlight the high points of profit. Put in as many elements as possible and not spend real estate with descriptions of common themes, a hamburger is a hamburger. Devoting space for the signature and topics unknown to entice the pattern. Make each section easily discernible and lay out in a reasonable manner (for example, snacks, tickets, desserts, etc. ..). Drawing from the menu to easily switch price. There have menu items with the most expensive price at the top in descending order. They were forced to read more articles and requires greater effort to buy by price. Envolved? Proof read, read proof, proof-read. Did I say proof read? Nothing leaves a bad impression? Samlon? instead of? Salmon?. Sponsors are likely to question your attention to detail in preparing their food! Printing? Select the largest amount needed for the next 3-6 months to maintain the low unit cost. If users are manipulating the menus, select a stock and lasting inspect regularly; dingy a menu or tattered leaves a bad impression. Consider coating or laminating them so they can be cleaned. Printing on plastic is another option if it fits the style wise. About the Author Derald Schultz is the founder and director of Design Mediarail, Inc. How to Choose a Graphic Design Firm

First, let me say that I am an independent graphic designer. My business model dictates that I only hire more professionals and artists for each project, so that expand and contract as needed. Let my business is highly competitive and flexible in selecting talent. Admittedly, I am interested in acquiring his business, but I can be objective in shedding some light on the process of electing design services. This article is basa in my years of experience and observations within the design community. The Graphic Designer The core of any creative work is the designer. Each comes with a varying degrees of talent and experience, whether you're independent or part of a company. Many independent or "independent" as some call them, have years of experience with established companies. Personally, I do not like the word independent, because it bears the stigma of a lack of talent, experience and professionalism. It also leaves the impression that they can not find gainful employment. Freelance Design Designers are not certified or licensed (I think it should be), so anyone can call themselves a graphic designer. Unfortunately, there are some who have over the characteristics, and are cheaper to use in the short term. The long-term negative consequences is that their project may be beyond the scope of their abilities. In addition, they may not have a good understanding of the creative process, not to anticipate technical problems and normal charges, without a licence and use of materials to reduce costs. All this can lead to a solution disappointing and possibly legal issues in the future. When it comes to something as valuable as the perception of your company and future sales of their product or service, "cheap" should never be the focus. Professional Design Professional designers can be with a company or independent. They often have formal training in design or visual communication, and may have more experience in related fields such as advertising or marketing. Follow the customs and procedures of the design industry, the use of specific contracts, and devote the time necessary for the creative process. A professional will be more expensive, but costs should not be considered superior to the hiring of design services. Good design does not cost money ... it makes money ... much more than the initial design investment through increased revenue and exposure to potential customers. Large enterprises (size matter? Times) A large design firm will give you a sense of stability only by the size of its portfolio, the number of staff, and available resources. They offer a wide variety of services through various media such as radio, TV, print, etc.. If this is your situation a large company should be its approach. On the other hand, if your project is within a specific area or two, such as Web, print or multimedia, a small independent company or designer can be an excellent choice. Another consideration is teamwork. As the saying goes, "two heads are better than one." Depending on the scope of the project different perspectives during the concept can be an advantage. Although several people firms assign a design team, many independent designers to overcome this by taking their work criticized his fellow designers or submitting their work for the design of online forums for review. Small Business Independent and small independent companies and may not have a sample of their specific need, so it is important to take into account the solutions he has provided other customers. They tend to be more motivated to achieve your business, so you'll often get a more personal level of service and work directly with the person responsible for his project. Moreover, you generally pay less due to reduced overhead costs. In many cases, independent designers will have more experience in designing a combination of years of a design team to an agency. Many talented designers tend to either move up the ladder or start their own business because the maximum pay in an enterprise. Variety of talent is another consideration. Large companies may have one or two staff writers or illustrators to choose from. Small independent companies and have the flexibility to offer a number of suppliers located outside specifically to fit their individual taste, style and preferences. Also, consider that the designer or designers working in a large company may not be particularly interested or excited about your project, or even dominate the area of design, because they have no control over what is allotted to them. While this may or may not be the case for a small company, an independent designer usually has a high level of interest and motivation, because they want to expand their customer base and list ... especially if your project or type of industry is new to them. If contact you as most likely has already done a research fund in his company. Finally, with advances in computer technology and lower prices, the independents and small businesses use the same or higher level of hardware and software to large enterprises. Also, do not have to go through the approval process and internal IT departments, so its update occur in days rather than months. Conclusion When you're looking for design services, remember that you do not have to know exactly what you need, which is what is a design professional. They are given specific solutions according to their needs. If the price is a concern about it in advance and ask a series of two or three estimates. Note that the lower figures mean that less time will be devoted to research and development of concepts, this does not mean that the designer is reducing its hourly rate. Less time translates into less creative and unique piece. Home interviewing several designers and design firms before making a decision. Ask them what their hourly rate work is creative, and view their portfolios. If you are satisfied with the solutions he has provided other clients, comfortable with the way they are presented, and think you like working with them ... rent. Customers who understand the value of good design realize that a talented designer has the ability to influence their current and potential market, creating a positive perception of their activity, and ultimately increase their incomes. How the Creative Process Works

I've had many people say, "I could never do what you do." In all humility, are probably right. A popular misconception is that creativity happens in a flash of inspiration, just the opposite is true. It is a way of thinking and approaching a problem. It is true that creativity and originality is a process. The imagination, a sense of curiosity, and analytical skills all play a part in it. Let's take a closer look at the five main ingredients: Time True creativity is not possible without sufficient time. Unfortunately is the first thing to go at cost or a deadline is the main criterion. It's like trying to build a house in a week, when in fact requires three months. There is little time to worry about quality or attention to detail. What we end up with the poor is a foundation and a pile of paint last-minute dressing is composed. The weather allows the mind to explore different approaches, revise and develop them further. Report information units of great design. It is collected through various means; questionnaires, interviews, market research, research on industry trends, and collecting data on your competition. Some key questions are: What is unique about what you sell? What is your customer? What do they want? What they want in the future? What do you think? What can switch to your product or service to be more beneficial? What can you offer that currently do not have? After analysis of the information is gathered and organized, is distilled to a core set of data. The creative thinking and analysis begins writing at any initial thoughts and ideas. At this point has precedent on how much quality. After a day or so, the material is reviewed again. The above information inspires new thoughts and ideas and identifies unusable. Over time, two or three directions begin to emerge and eventually leading to one or two strong concepts. Concept Development Creativity is progressive in nature; inspire new ideas, even the newest. As the initial text and images to develop, minor adjustments are made, a sentence can be reformulated to have a greater impact or an image adjusted to add more interest. Creativity has no end point, so it is also important to know when enough is enough. When the execution is an agreed concept, the final production begins. The final copy goes through fact-checking and proofreading, high-resolution images are placed and any final adjustments to color and design are made. A critical part of creativity is attention to detail. Ultimately, it must be a solid solution to the original problem to be a success.About the Author Derald Schultz is the founder and director of Design Mediarail, Inc. What are 3d Models?

A 3D model is a representation of any object using three-dimensional computer graphics software. A 3D model can be displayed almost as a 2D image through a process called 3D or used a computer simulation in 3D animation, or display. Creating a 3D model is often a long and costly process. Therefore, modelers 3D animation and production studios, advertising agencies, architects, television and film production often houses to save time and money by using already made 3D models of sites as in their FlatPyramid.com projects. The 3D models at sites such as Map of the pyramid are created by highly skilled modelers or 3D artists from around the world using software that specializes in 3D, 3D plug-ins and other 3D applications to create a variety of 3D models in 3D several categories and multiple file formats, such as: 3D Studio Max, Maya, OBJ, Lightwave, Open flight, Softimage XSI, and Cinema 4D. Why Use 3d Images?

? A 3D digital image is worth a million words? At present? S world, inventors must be able to communicate their ideas very realistic in digital formats for maximum exposure. They need quick and easy way to describe the benefits of their ideas to market or license. Flat Pyramid offers a competitive service where ideas / patents and designs were created digitally in 3D model to clearly communicate the features, performance and design of the invention or idea. Studies have shown that people are more willing to sell or license a product if they can see how it works digitally, if not physically available for inspection.Key Benefits of using 3D images? Visual representation of his idea. ? Sell your ideas faster? visually communicate product benefits and features. ? Save time and money? 3D models cost less and are ready faster than physical prototypes. ? Share your 3D model with several clients at once. ? Obtaining financing? improve their chances of obtaining investment capital to communicate visually his idea. ? Show your prototype digital online? since in www.flatpyramid.com to announce his invention and potentially sell the prototype digital throughout the world. Fig.1 3D model of a prototype digital. Leveraging 3D models in a websitePreviously, when a company requires a 3D model that would have to hire a 3D modeler or 3D to create business for them which resulted in a time intensive and costly process. Most of the items created ironically, already existed in the hard disks of some 3D modeler somewhere in the world. With the current digital content industry trends, a company like flat pyramid (http://www.flatpyramid.com) was able to offer a solution? Create visible and profitable opportunities for digital artists and 3D modelers worldwide by making its content available for a fee or for free to another person in need, therefore, save time and money. ? 2d and 3d Computer Graphics

Two-dimensional (2D) and three-dimensional (3D) graphics are all around us and allows us to be able to visualize and manipulate data every day. What is the difference between 2D and 3D computer graphics, such as 3D models? Let's explore the differences and similarities between them.2D computer graphics2D computer graphics are digital images that are based on computers. These include geometric models in 2D, as compositions image, pixel art, digital art, photographs and text. 2D Graphics are used in everyday life traditional print or drawing. There are two types of computer graphics 2D - raster and vector graphics. Raster graphics or bitmaps are composed of combinations of pixels. Each pixel can be a different color or shade. They are published in the pixel level and are used in most age of computer and video games, games graphing calculator, and many mobile phone games. The vector graphics are composed of roads. The routes are used to describe the images through the establishment of mathematical relationships between points within an image. The vector graphics are mainly used in images.3D photographic equipment graphics3D computer graphics are 3D graphics using the geometric representation of data. This geometric data is manipulated by computers using 3D computer graphics software in order to customize your screen, movements, and appearance. 3D computer graphics are often called 3D models. A 3D model is a mathematical representation of geometric data that is contained in a data file. 3D models can be used in real-time 3D: animations, videos, movies, training, simulations, architectural visualizations or to show how 2D images (2D renders). In contrast with a 2D graphics, 3D, is a model of "mathematical representation of any 3D object." A 3D model is not technically a graph that shows up visually as a 2D image through a process called 3D. 3D models can also be used or not in computer simulations and graphics calculations. One of the advantages that have 2D graphics in 3D models is that they allow more direct control of the image and are easier to change with relatively simple software packages. 3D models are not so easy to change, because it requires specific skills and 3D modeling more complex and powerful software 3D model. 3D models using many of the same mathematical algorithms as 2D vector graphics within model wire. In addition, when the 3D models that finally shows how ago, using similar algorithms as the plot of 2D graphics. 3D models using many of the techniques of rendering 2D, while the 2D graphics used many of the techniques of realistic 3D effects as to achieve enlightenment. 3d Modeling

3D modeling is the creation, manipulation and storage of geometric objects to represent objects that are around us or the virtual objects. The process starts with 3D modeling using specialized software 3D modeling. The 3D artist develops a mathematician, wire representation of the object using specialized software. The final product is called a 3D model. The process of 3D modeling for 3D graphics is similar to sculpting. During this process of geometric data is handled and prepared manually or automatically. There are three methods for creating and representation of a 3D model. They are: polygonal 3d modeling, NURBS 3D modeling and Splines patched and 3D modeling. Polygonal 3D modeling using vertices are connected to form a polygon mesh. Because they are polygonal, curved surfaces are approximated by using many small flat surfaces. The vast majority of 3D models today are built as models polygonal texture, because they are the most flexible and faster for the computer to handle. Polygonal 3D models can be classified as high and low polygon polygonal models depending on the density of the polygon mesh. Low poly 3D models are preferred for 3D games and simulations, as they tend to require less power. NURBS Modeling 3D uses NURBS surfaces. NURBS are really smooth surfaces, rather than approaches using small flat surfaces, such as 3D modeling polygonal. They are best suited to the complex and modeling organic forms. NURBS surfaces geometrically defined by spline curves, which in turn are influenced by the control points weighted. The curve follow these points of weight control, which increases the weight of a point to throw the curve closer to that point and vice versa. Splines patches and 3D modeling depend on curved lines to define the surface visible. By using this method of modeling the 3d stage is shaping each of the objects that are subsequently used in the scene. There are a number of techniques that include: constructive solid geometry, implicit surfaces, and subdivision surfaces. The model can be performed via a dedicated 3D modeling software program or an application or component description language scene. In some cases, there is a strict distinction between these phases in these cases modeling is only part of the scene creation process. Complex materials are based on the use of particle systems. A system of particles is a mass of coordinates that have 3D points, polygons, symbols of the texture, or sprites assigned to them. The materials that are modeled using particle systems include smoke, blowing sand, clouds, aerosols and liquids. Once the 3D model is done, the artist can begin the process 3D rendering 3D visual representation for use in 2D or 3D model of an animation. Moreover, the 3D model can be used for other applications, including simulation of physical phenomena. The 3D model can also be physically 3D created by printing through rapid prototyping techniques. When printing is used in 3D, 3D object is created to connect the layers of cross sections of material. Fig.1 3D model of Lonestar International towing vehicle

History of Computer Graphics

The field of computer graphics has been developed together with the development of digital computer. In 1959, MIT's Lincoln Labs TX-2 computer gave birth to the field of interactive computer graphics. In mid-1960 major companies such as TRW, Lockheed, General Electric and Sperry Rand, had already begun research and development of computer graphics. IBM graphics terminal 2250 was the first commercially available computer graphics. In 1969, the Association of Computing Machinery (ACM) launched a Special Interest Group on Graphics and Interactive Techniques (SIGGRAPH) to promote the generation and dissemination of information on computer graphics and interactive techniques. SIGGRAPH interests include simulation and modeling, computer-generated art, digital analysis of movement, text editing and composition, mapping and cartography, computer-aided design, computer graphics and software and hardware. During the 1970's, personal computers became more powerful, and were able to draw more complex shapes and designs. In the late 1980's, 3D computer graphics, such as 3D models, made possible by SGI computers and graphical user interfaces (GUI). GUI presented data (incoming and outgoing) and information with symbols, icons and images instead of text. The SGI computers were used to create some of the first completely computer-generated short films at Pixar. Today, Apple Macintosh system remains one of the most popular choices of computer graphics in graphic design studios and companies. In 1990? S, 3D image became versions of major advances in computer graphics and film industry is stimulated graphics applications. VGA and SVGA standards were introduced and since then, personal computers could easily display quality images and photographic films. Since then, the graphics have become more realistic, because computers more advanced 3D techniques, and better modeling software and 3D applications. With the growing popularity of games, multimedia and animation, 3D graphics have become more popular. In 1996, one of the first fully 3D games, Quake was released. In 1995, Toy Story, the first long-term computer-generated animation film, was released. In 2001, the powerful graphics hardware from Nvidia GeForce series was released. In 2003, ID Software graphics engine was released in Doom3 game. Computer Graphics are widely used today. From graphics for presentations and virtual reality worlds of entertainment, computer graphics have a powerful impact on our daily lives. Fig.1 3D model of a city
